What is pedagogics?
Pedagogics can be defined as the holistic science of education, learning and skill development, i.e. of
- the special relationship between teacher and learner
- the goal of which is learning,
- set in a historical, social and philosophical reflection framework
The Department of Education at Aarhus University researches into how to create the best conditions for education, learning and skill development – throughout life.
The research is organised in interdisciplinary research programmes and units.
